What are your office hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

How often are we invoiced?
You are invoiced monthly for usage during the previous month.

Can I pay my bills at the office or must I send it to the PO Box address in Newark, NJ.
You can pay your bills using the return envelope provided or drop your payment off at 1201 S. Church St .  Outside drop boxes are provided for your convenience after hours.

Can I pay my bills over the phone?
The MUA cannot accommodate our customers with payment by phone.  However, you may stop in at the main office located at 1201 S. Church Street and pay by cash, check or credit card.

Do you take credit card payments?
We accept Visa or MasterCard payments in the office only.

Can you automatically bill my credit card each month?
Currently we have no plans but, this option may be available in the future.

Can you automatically debit my bank account each month?
Yes, you may apply for direct debit payments to be automatically withdrawn from your checking, savings or money market account.  You will receive your bill at the beginning of the month which will reflect the amount owed.  Your payment will then be deducted on the 22nd of the month.  You can stop by for an application or you can print an application off our website at: www. mltmua.com.

How can I change the name on this account?
The MUA requests written documentation such as a deed, death or marriage certificate in order for all name changes to be made.

How can I change the name and Bill To address on an account if I am a tenant?
The MUA requests a Tenant/Landlord application to be completed and authorized by the Landlord for all name and Bill To addresses to be changed. 

Do you provide a senior citizen discount?
If you qualify for the Senior Citizens Property Tax Deduction through Mt. Laurel Township Tax Assessor's Office you will automatically qualify for 50% off of your sewer bill with the MUA.  Those residents who are disabled may also apply through the Township Tax Assessor's Office.  If you reside in a mobile home development, you will need to obtain an application from the MUA.  Proof of age, income, and a title to your mobile home will be required.  You may contact Kelly Abbott at (856) 722-8143 for more information.

I will be away on vacation can I pay my bill in advance?
Yes, you can pay your bill in advance.

Is there fluoride in the water?
Yes, there is fluoride in the water, which does not exceed the state Additions MCL (Maximum Contaminant Level) of 2 parts per million. Average concentration is 0.9 parts per million. Ask your dentist or pediatrician if fluoride supplements are recommended.

What is the water hardness?
The water hardness is within the range of 75 to 100 mg/1 which is medium. A water softener is typically not needed for water hardness within this range.
